Coaching is a forward-focused partnership designed to help you achieve specific professional goals. As your coach, I work with you to clarify what you want to accomplish, identify what's blocking your progress, and develop strategies to move forward. Coaching assumes you're capable and resourceful. My role is to help you access your own insights, shift limiting patterns, and build new skills.
Consulting provides expert advice and solutions to specific business problems. Consultants diagnose problems and prescribe solutions. While I bring expertise in leadership dynamics and organizational systems, my work is coaching, not consulting.
Therapy addresses mental health concerns, emotional healing, and psychological wellbeing. Therapy often explores past experiences and treats clinical conditions. While my background as a licensed therapist (LPC and LMFT) gives me deep insight into human behavior and relational dynamics, our coaching work is not therapy. We focus on your professional goals and leadership effectiveness, not clinical treatment.
That said, my clinical training means I bring psychological depth to the work. I can help you understand the patterns, beliefs, and early experiences shaping your leadership without turning our sessions into therapy. If at any point I believe you would benefit from therapeutic support, I'll let you know and can provide appropriate referrals.

Most clients work with me for 3-6 months, though some continue longer as their goals evolve. Executive coaching addressing deeper patterns like perfectionism, impostor syndrome, or communication challenges often runs 6-12 months as we work at both behavioral and perceptual levels to create sustainable change.
We'll start by getting clear on what you want to accomplish, and we can adjust the length and frequency of our work based on your progress and needs. Some clients prefer intensive work (weekly sessions) at the beginning, then space out to bi-weekly or monthly as they gain traction.
-
Session frequency depends on your needs and the intensity of challenges you're facing. Most clients meet bi-weekly or monthly. Leaders facing urgent challenges or in the midst of significant transitions often start with weekly sessions, then reduce frequency as they build momentum.
Between sessions, you'll practice new approaches, test strategies, and gather data about what's working. The work happens both in our sessions and in your day-to-day leadership.

While I specialize in working with executives and senior leaders, I also work with high-potential leaders being groomed for more senior roles, entrepreneurs and small business owners navigating leadership challenges, and professionals in demanding fields (physicians, attorneys, etc.) facing similar pressures to corporate executives.
The common thread is that you're in a leadership role (formal or informal), facing complexity that requires more than tactical solutions, and ready to do developmental work that goes beyond surface-level fixes.

I offer both virtual and in-person coaching. Most of my executive coaching clients work with me virtually via video conference, which allows for scheduling flexibility and eliminates travel time. Virtual coaching is just as effective as in-person for the type of work we do together.

I work with both individuals who self-fund their coaching and organizations that sponsor coaching for their leaders. If your organization is sponsoring, we'll establish a clear three-way agreement outlining expectations, confidentiality boundaries, and what information (if any) will be shared with your sponsor.
-
Yes. Everything discussed in our coaching sessions is confidential. I don't share information about our work with anyone (including your organization, if they're sponsoring the coaching) without your explicit permission. The only exceptions would be situations involving imminent danger to yourself or others, which I'm legally obligated to report.
If your organization is sponsoring your coaching, we'll clarify upfront what (if any) information will be shared with them—typically high-level progress updates, never specific content of our conversations. Before we wrap our time together, we will also review what you feel comfortable sharing with your sponsor.

Schedule a complimentary 30-minute consultation using the booking link on my website, or email me directly on my contact page. We'll discuss what you're hoping to accomplish, I'll share how I work, and we'll determine whether we're a good fit. If we decide to move forward, we'll schedule your first session and I'll send you a coaching agreement outlining our work together.
